Time to bribe the amazon tiger.
With what? Meat?
Love the part and zima cries while shaliegh cunningly got promoted than coneen backfired at her wow shaleigh feels sheepish
Shaleigh’s smile is doing a lot of work right now!
Budget Cuts and Capitalization
What Money Means
Zmia zings with energy as her postponed project has luscious life pumped into its flagging facade. When her proposal was put down, the capital captured for it was carried to Shaleigh’s account. The vixen vindicated it by agreeing to grant a given amount to it in exchange for oversight. Farassi further files in that the fox be firmly kept from causing chaos. But Coneen cuts in with the fact that she and Shaleigh share the same field. Wouldn’t it be prudent to perserve the overseeing of Shaleigh to her? Farassi had found that as a factor but adds that doing so would be detrimental to her as her own project would be put in peril and they would have to push through a plethora of restrictive red tape to ensure it. Either way Zmia’s venture can once again be visited with vigor.
But now to the current concern: How to make a tiger turn tail and block her from backtracking.
With Shaleigh stirred into the circle again can their project pass on as proposed? And how do they intend to eject Shie from ever seeing them again? As the expression goes: “The best laid plains of mice and men (or mares) oft go awry.”
Kess and Riah know Shaleigh but they’ve never seen Zmia. That could be a wild card!
Zmia: I mean… we could in theory send her somewhere not war-related. Its she really hate fighting now, and it seem rather cruel to force that on her.
Shaleigh: Eh why not, it not as if there any negative percussion to what happens.
Meanwhile
Dragon Queen: They were wearing cloaks…
Guard: My queen? Is that significant my queen
Dragon Queen (Remembering how Shaleigh keeps appearing and disappearing): Perhaps.
Dragon Queen (Thinkin): Kilani, you once ask how the war started and admitted to not knowing. But I’m starting to suspect there are players out there using both sides to their sick amusements…
PS really hope there more Kilani/Cinder, Yes yes, I know about the stripes but honestly, they are VERY CUTE TOGETHER!
They make a great pair! I really love the dynamic that developed between those two!
They truly are a cute couple. (Oh and apologies if that scene went long, I just figure the queen realizing that Shaleigh has more allies since at least one dragon saw the hooded rabbit). Granted said dragon is on the run from her own kind but still, I think word would spread.
That sounds like Xhianil, and you’re right, she would know about Coneen’s existence. Think Xhianil would rat her out? Oh wait, that phrase might be insensitive to Arnet!
Hard to say, I do know one thing though, she DEFINITELY not going to trust Shaleigh again (you don’t need to speak a language to realize that the fox was ready to sell her and the renegade tigers out to Scyde.
Speaking of, I like how Xhianil is forging a connection with Kilani and Kess (Especially when she learns about how Kess regret for what happen to Xhianil best friend, Flare). Time will tell but so far Kilani (for better or worst) is unintentionally creating her own neutral faction, and I can definitely see Xhianil fitting in.
I have no idea why but I could’ve swore Zmia was more a Lamia instead, if it had been shown before then I completely forgot she had legs.
I initially couldn’t decide between legs and no legs and that’s why Zmia’s first appearance was only from the waist up. I later decided on legs and we get our first look at them on page 599. ^__^
I’m hoping this is the point where Shie effortlessly rips the chair apart and strides up to Shaleigh to just tower over her menacingly.
Maybe not the chair but that extension cord probably isn’t much of a match for her.
