Okay, one possible explanation found:
Obsidian Egg enters Opal Realm.
A minimum ten-year time loop commences.
Some people are still alive (Queen Shiraz, Ashaki, Lady Azure, Flare, etc).
Memories of some people are reset, resulting in confusion and some hostilities resuming (say, between Kess and Xhianil).
Worse, some other people might be dead or have disappeared from the altered timeline altogether (Princess Lumina might not even exist). It’s like Marty McFly’s photo where the elder brother is completely erased.
In summary, the Sacred(?) Timeline has been butchered.
That’s a hypothesis worth exploring!
I wonder if Gaia of all people got unkilled by these timey wimey shenanigans. I also wonder, are there 2 Metas and 2 Scydes running around now or did one version replace the other ?

Huh… A Light Dragon never saw the light that shines so brightly. Ironic.
Light & Dark
A Division Down Under.
The frightening flash fails to falter the steady Lady Sombrana, who concludes her capable discourse on her courageous, or questionable, coup d’etat on the current Queen. However, a hand goes up for Roxxi, who asks about the blinding aura that blasted them. Believing it to be Sombrana’s, she slams the Dragon when she inquires intelligently about it, unaware of its origin.
Roxxi rattles on. The Earth Dragons have at last won the Dragon Queen’s favor, and this effort could eject them from such. Sombrana’s steep sales sling isn’t serenading any of them. As the dragoness dons her deadly drive, Elektra tries to dampen the danger… as another signals to stop. Then she is interrupted when a calling card is suddenly shoved close to her. The presenter merely posits that this predicament is a planned plunder?
The light shines on this surfeit of scaly souls, but it is not a good sign. Instead, it’s sent both sides to the brink of a blitz. Is there a way to band these grappling groups together? Is the light a beacon to more tumult in due time?

Huh so the dragons also travel to the past.
I like how the earth dragons literally pointed out that they are arguably in the good graces of the queen and Sombrana coop (She doesn’t say it as such, but the others can totally tell it is), would literally screwed the earth dragons eight ways to sunday.
Also like how everyone else notice that blinding light except for Sombrana. Show hows full of herself she is.
Hopefully there aren’t any clock roaches around.

The effects of Shaleigh’s Shenanigans seem to be widespread indeed, if not actually global – or possibly beyond that. How far is a ‘Realm’ anyway…?
While we don’t know Dragon ages precisely, Meta’s appearance here implies it’s not just the more distant past being pulled in and jumbled. A better question would be, does THIS Meta know the fate of ‘our’ Meta? Or are they indeed separate entities entirely, such that they might meet (and maybe heal) each other?
