btiella’s emotions in one sentence. “at first i was like >:) the i was like 0.o then i was like ^-^’ then i was @.@ and finally i was like >:( ” thank you and enjoy.

nice to see how someone can turn to nice then to smug and then go “oh sh*t” in just a few seconds.

Briella has reached critcle mass. All non-Lady Red personnel, evacuate immediately. Those who wish may proceed to a safe distance, throw on some sun glasses, and watch all hell break loose.

Wow, for a fire dragon Red has an amazingly cool temper!

Someone’s got to lead by example about how a Dragon should never let her emotions dictate her actions.

Oh, and if I may say so, I’m really impressed with the way you’ve developed the light dragons. When I first read the comic I was like “Okay, fire, earth, water, and lightning(electricity) all make sense, but light? Naw that won’t go anywhere.” But then you were all like “Illusions! Invisibility! Flash bangs! Spectrum bombs! Sun gun biatch!” and I was like “… okay… keep the light dragons…” XD

Wow, thanks so much! I hadn’t realized it, but you’re right about how the comic hadn’t really delved into what they could do. I’ve always had the ideas for their abilities, but we never got a chance to show them off. When I inherited the writing duties, I wanted to make sure the Dragons races’ respective magic potential was properly showcased. I didn’t intentionally set out to have the story carried by Briella, as she was originally conceived as a plot device, but when she wound up having to elude a pack of Tigers by herself, I got to thinking what a Light Dragon would have at her disposal, and it all just kinda happened from there. Really glad you like it, and I’m thrilled to hear your compliment! ^o^

As I was reading the page, I started to forgive Lady Red, remembering how considerate she had been in the past…

…then I read about her “hunch” that they might have gone to the Calera. Well, if you think it makes a difference, TELL HER BEFOREHAND!!!

But, in Lady Red’s defense, I guess I could admit that Briella is going a bit overboard.

Oh my Red, you’re red is showing.. ^_^; Love the expression on Bri’s face in pnl 4. She’s just so damn hawt! Can’t wait to see where this goes next! Oh, and does anyone have any tape? I just broke the handle on my STAMP!!! Such an awesome update Danny!

As much as I love Lady Red, I don’t blame Briella for how she’s reacting right now.

Not after hearing about Lady Red’s little hunch.

If only Lady Red hadn’t let her know she had an idea, if she’d only let Briella thing it came out of left field and was just bad luck… oh well, maybe she’ll learn the old addagem: “Better to stay silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove them right.”

Hurrah Briella is alive and such a lovely panel 1! On another note I am socked that I never noticed the dorsal fin running down their tails before today. Are they just a thin layer of scales?

The dorsal fins have always been there. They run almost the full length of a Dragon’s body, starting at about the base of their skull and going all the way down to just shy of the tip of their tail, not counting the “spade” section at the end. It’s just a thin, flexible ridge of scales, and every Dragon, male and female, has it. Surprised it took you this long to notice, but then again, it shows that I’ve been including a good number of Dragon butt shots lately. ^__^

The foot you jammed down your mouth was just an appetizer Miss Red. ‘Cause Briella’s got herself an order of knuckle sandwich’s just for you. And dont forget the after event where Briella puts on a spectacular light show. She promises to light up that area where the sun dont shine.

Tickets on sale now. Also available on PAY PER VIEW!!!

You mean the parts that we can see in panel 1? ^__^

Well they better or else they’ll get a c**p-load of coal, oh I know this is unheard of RazorFox, but IF the cleansing process goes wrong which winds up not only giving Lumina her memories back but also seeing Oscura’s is she going to escape from her mom in a sequence (i.e. Chapter or bonus comic) referencing The Binding of Issac?

I won’t comment on that one way or the other, as it would spoil the story. I will say, though, that I’ve never heard of the The Binding of Isaac, so any similarity between the two would be coincidental. ^__^;

Look up The Binding of Issac on google then

I haven’t paid my Google subscription in months. =D

Okay, looked it up. If you’re comparing it to the biblical interpretation and hoping for divine intervention, then I can assure you that that’s not in the works. Queen Oscura isn’t doing it to please a capricious god, but, in her mind, to assure her daughter’s safety and effectiveness as a future monarch with no reservations about how to handle the Tiger menace.

You know, in retrospect, that probably wasn’t the best thing for Lady Red to say out loud…in front of Briella…while she was still PO’ed.

*Jokingly*

Hm…if memory serves correctly, wasn’t there some kind of reference to Kess and angry sex? Because Briella is…*leaves the rest to the readers imagination* XD

I think I faintly remember someone bringing it up a while back. Given the interspecies animosity, it’s more likely to happen between Briella and Lady Red, though, which is still pretty good. ^__^

That’s kind of what I meant there. Probably should’ve finished the sentence ^_^;

Oh damn, someone implied this already. I knew I should have read the comments before posting. Well, I went with kiss, not angry sex imagination.

Speaking of which, are the dragon’s scales covering up the underparts or is it censoring?

I think Briella over reacted to the hunch comment, as a military commander Lady Red can’t send troops somewhere just like that, you need a confirmation on the enemy position so you don’t send your soldier at the wrong place. I mean the tigers could have go someplace else and she would have been wrong and sending a search party right away in the Calera would have been a waste of resources, time and man-power ( or dragon-power more likely).

Good observation, and that’s exactly the very rationale Lady Red was using here. You can’t send an entire army into a location based on just a hunch and bad intelligence. I think that’s how the Iraq War started, if I’m not mistaken.

When you send out a scout, you don’t tell them nothing. A military commander would relay their suspicions and suggestions before sending them off. In the morale sense, it encourages scouts by giving them a little light to guide by, but in the pragmatic sense it helps prepare them for potential obstacles.

Lady Red dropped the ball. Big time.

She was suppose to observe them from a distance. It’s Briella’s fault for not paying attention instead of just thinking about Red.

She may be overreacting, but she is hyped up on adrenaline and rage and not exactly thinking all to clearly or logically. People in that state rarely see the big picture, often overreact, and tend to make potentially self-destructing or creer ending decissions.

Lady Red you have just put your foot in your mouth, and it may be followed by another sun gun shot. At least now I can say Briella’s first reaction was called for. However she should have just taken the commendations, and not risk the chances of being locked up or being seen as a traitor. Also the more time she spend Lady Red the more time the tiger have to get away, and the least time Lady Red has to prepare, and send a team after them.

All good points. In fact, you’ll recall that we saw Kess and her crew exiting the Calera (or the Khalira, as the Tigers call it) a few pages ago. They’d better hurry.

I am putting all my chips on the 1/1,000,000,000 bet. Briella should kiss Red.

Roughly the same odds as most multi-state lotteries. ^__^

Also, as I ready your replies, you don’t swing one way or the other. You do not dash hopes, but you not say it will come true. I respect your willpower to not reveal any secrets.

I bite my tongue an awful lot. What I really love (and hate) is when someone correctly predicts outcomes of certain events in these comments. I so want to jump up and scream, “YES! YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!” but I refrain from doing so. ^__^;;

I imagine Briella is gonna fashion herself a trendy new Dragon scale night gown.
And I also wager that Xhianil is gonna lose her shit again and will intervene.

Briella would look good in red, both figuratively and literally. It would match her right eye. ^__^

Wouldn’t that be like a human wearing another human’s skin?

Pretty much. But you can’t really make clothes out of human skin. It’s too fragile. Dragon hide is much more durable.

Yup that was a time to shut up, Lady Red. This one’s going to really, really hurt.

I must admit that Red choice of words is not the best, but think that Briella maybe overreact to much on the last few panels.

Military thinking Red cant send people without a confirmation, thats Briellas job. Maybe Red never mention where she think the tiger may go. After all the Calera look like a really unholy place for both of dragons and tigers and the simple mention of it will gave her a denie from Briella.

Now what I think is more funny is that Red aparently was on the Calera battle and actually become some kind of leyend between dragons (and tigers) and Briella never think in the posibilitiy of Red thinkinh on the old Calera? I mean, she did knew the rute when Briella tell her about the pipe, she mentioning the calera after this will be so weird? Plus she say she didnt know but have a hunch.

Looking on the whole thing, Red have keep her cool for really long, more than one should tolerate, and Briella is not doing a good job with her emotions.

Side note, at first I think the clear color spot on Red head was a way to show that she applying pressure because it hurt her, now I see is a “wound” like spot, that drive me to the question, that will left a scar or its gonna go away when Red change her scales if dragons actually do that like regular reptiles.

All great observations! I hadn’t really thought about it, but you’re probably right in that if Lady Red had told Briella that she suspected the Tigers went to the Calera, Briella might have refused the mission. Smart move on Lady Red’s part.

And the Dragons do molt, so this might lead to the affected areas cracking open and peeling. She might have to shed early.

I’ve
finally got my lazy bum up and googled it, I’ve for so long wanted to
posted the lyrics on one of the songs that i thought of during the
entire kalirha incident, that fits both for both sides I guess. always
found it interesting how Razorfox added notes about fitting songs or
tracks in some strips. This is “Hold On” by New Zealan singer Peter
Furler, I would love to have you evaluate how much it fits (or doesn’t
fit) that part of the story, Razor!

You never thought you would get to a place

Where your life could go from carefree

To suddenly aching, beautiful to breaking

Now you crawl through the smoke and haze

Fighting just to find some daylight to see the sun

And then catch your breath again

There’s a whisper in the chaos

And it’s calling out your name

Just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go when the ground beneath you is shaking

Through the good times and the bad times

And the things you can’t control, you gotta hold on

There are days when the weight of the world

Is enough to make you think

That you’re forgotten, you’re not forgotten

Waiting there for this moment to pass

Looking up and praying

For some hope tonight, just to feel alive

Take the beauty from the ashes

Now it’s time to rise again

Just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go when the ground beneath you is shaking

Through the good times and the bad times

And the things you can’t control, you gotta hold on

If you feel you’re at the end

And the light is fading out

The walls are caving in

Remember deep inside of you

There a hope beyond the fight

There’s a faith to pull you through

Just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go

Oh, just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go when the ground beneath you is shaking

Through the good times and the bad times

And the things you can’t control, you gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

I just took a listen to it. Great song! I love it!

As for whether it fits Briella’s adventures in the Calera, I don’t know if I’d use it there. I can see how it would fit, but my goal for that story arc was to have it be a crazy romp with plenty of violence and nudity. I wanted it to be a big fun story, so I would probably go with something more upbeat.

But it’s still an excellent song. Grabbing that one for my MP3 collection. Might use it on a future page. ~__^

I’m glad you liked it! Furler deals mainly with strongly christian lyrics, and since I don’t know your stance on modern christian music I was nervous in that you might find it offensive. most of his and his band’s songs shows the energetic and joyful side of christian beliefs, but in some songs he wants to warn, help or question the listeners possible issues, worthly or spiritual. the only time I could think of someone being offended by his music is if a person is highly anti-christian for some reason, since his songs 99.9% of the time contain positive lyrics that put even more “cultural” christians, or non-christians with a positive worldview and open mind in a happy mood! the band Furler used to sing in was called the newsboys, and I think that these days after he reconstructed the band again they are referred to as the new newsboys, if you wanna google for mor eof their songs. his song “closer”, also a rocksong and from the same album – on fire – as “hold on”, is more upbeat and i think of it togheter with the whole issue of lumina and my hunch of how her story turns out will affect the future of draconia! you can just google it and/or I can post the lyrics here, if you want. for kilani’s melancholy/sorrow, I’d say “faster and louder” – also from the on fire album :p

Good music is good music, irrelevant of the genre or the intended audience. My musical tastes don’t discriminate. ^__^

posted the lyrics on one of the songs that i thought of during the

found it interesting how Razorfox added notes about fitting songs or

Furler, I would love to have you evaluate how much it fits (or doesn’t
fit) that part of the story, Razor!

You never thought you would get to a place

Where your life could go from carefree

To suddenly aching, beautiful to breaking

Now you crawl through the smoke and haze

Fighting just to find some daylight to see the sun

And then catch your breath again

There’s a whisper in the chaos

And it’s calling out your name

Just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go when the ground beneath you is shaking

Through the good times and the bad times

And the things you can’t control, you gotta hold on

There are days when the weight of the world

Is enough to make you think

That you’re forgotten, you’re not forgotten

Waiting there for this moment to pass

Looking up and praying

For some hope tonight, just to feel alive

Take the beauty from the ashes

Now it’s time to rise again

Just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go when the ground beneath you is shaking

Through the good times and the bad times

And the things you can’t control, you gotta hold on

If you feel you’re at the end

And the light is fading out

The walls are caving in

Remember deep inside of you

There a hope beyond the fight

There’s a faith to pull you through

Just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go

Oh, just believe, I know you’re gonna make it

Don’t let go when the ground beneath you is shaking

Through the good times and the bad times

And the things you can’t control, you gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

You gotta hold on

I just took a listen to it. Great song! I love it!

As for whether it fits Briella’s adventures in the Calera, I don’t know if I’d use it there. I can see how it would fit, but my goal for that story arc was to have it be a crazy romp with plenty of violence and nudity. I wanted it to be a big fun story, so I would probably go with something more upbeat.

You know it’s funny how quickly frightened and mostly harmless Briella turned into a total bad ass

That’s what happens when you push someone to far.

I kinda feel sorry for Lady Red, but at the same time it was her fault for sending Briella to a crappy situation. But I also think B is going too far… yeah, I understand she went against 7 tigers, but still :/

as soon as things start looking up, they turn south again. as much as i understand briella’s rage there, but she should take the commendations and not ms red’s scales, less jail time that way.

Maybe I should get her some flavored toenail polish for Christmas. ^__^

Here’s what I mean by my Binding of Issac comment on this page, I’ll tell you all what COULD happen by retelling the game’s intro as my possible prophecy.
“Lumina and her mother lived in a large castle on a hill, overlooking the Dragon Capital. Lumina was found mostly training to use magicks with her nanny and seemingly only friend, Chiara while other times she kept to herself, usually drawing pictures and playing with her toys and My Little Dracony dolls as her mom ruled the Kingdom of Draconia with a sturdy hand. Life was simple, and they were both happy. That was, until the day Mt. Aet’na Erupted, sending the capital into chaos. At the same time, Kilani- a noble and cunning warrior who was already starting to become disillusioned with the war and with hate in general had invaded the castle and rescued her sister Kess, and her friends Shie and Riah. Pursued by the Queen Oscura, the intruders wandered about in the dungeons until they found Lumina along with an injured Chiara. Trying to defend herself, the young dragoness used her now-voluntary Light magicks in an attempt to ward off the tigers, Kilani though, recognized the girl as her adoptive daughter, whom she hatched and raised Lumina on her own in seclusion, caring for her as if the young dragon was her own. The moment their eyes met, something stirred within the young princess’ mind but quickly faded when Oscura intervened, snapping her back to reality. That night, she fell asleep with that same feeling buzzing about in her head. Days later, she had decided to throw a party, celebrating Chiara’s recovery, but when she drank her “beverage”, blackness and silence overtook her. Oscura, determined to end the war, had commissioned Dr. Lucis to wipe her memory so that the queen could train her to become the ultimate weapon and assure victory against the tiger tribe. Everything was set for the cleansing and looked like the queen was successful. However, a bitter battle between Briella and Lady Red was brought into Lucis’ room, causing everything to go astray. The resulting chaos caused Lucius to not only accidentally restore Lumina’s memories, but also linked the girl’s with Oscura’s. Lumina awoke from her stupor, screaming and backing away in fear from Oscura, exclaiming that she’s a soulless monster that knows no love and Kilani is her real mother, not her. After this heart-breaking out burst, Lumina uses a flash-bang magick attack to stun everyone, then flies off. After grabbing some food and her dolls, she then realizes she has to get out of the castle, however, she finds out she’s cornered in the throne room. Lumina, in a panic, scrambled about in the room, searching for a way out that doesn’t involve flying. Just when she was about to give up, she accidentally pressed a switch which revealed a trapdoor hidden behind the throne. Without hesitation, she ran toward her only means of escape, just as she heard the queen and her guards approaching, and then threw herself down into the unknown depths below. The trapdoor then closed itself, shutting out the source of calm light in the place of darkness. Little does Lumina know is that the failed mind wipe is causing her to have temporary ocular and auditory hallucinations which will force her to face droves of illusionary enemies, a lost sister, her fears, her conflicting memories, Draconia’s sins, and eventually, her “fake” mother…”
Thumbs up to anyone who gets the reference and is interested in turning this into a fanfic or to RazorFox if he is interested in making this into a bonus comic or just likes this, and a major thumbs up to Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl for making The Binding of Issac, thank you.

awesome stuff! any more stuff like this in the future? like what about the fox girl?

Yes and if what I described was a real game, Shaliegh’s tent would replace the Devil room but would still follow the same AI, unlock patterns, and symbolism, but would have plotlines and cutscenes. You get where I’m getting at?

nice idea of a story-arc, tough i don’t like the BoI games. too many incorrect ridicules of religion/faith. I can’t help but get the feeling their goal is to make the player think that Isaac’s mom is what christians ar ein reality. i just think making a game because you hate or look down upon a group of people or philosophical/religious views is taking it too far. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and the freedom of speech and media, but that’s kinda where the line goes for me…

Actually this story would or will make sense than BoI because…
The adventure would test Lumina’s broken heart to see if she really loved Oscura (despite knowing what she had done) and Kilani at the same time.
The Dracony dolls she brought would manifest as parts of her personality, I.e. Velvet Sun being her ‘love’ and compassion, Firestarter being her keen eye and ‘quick’ cunning, Windwhistle as her ‘strength’ and courage, Lustershine as ‘both sides’ of her ever-increasing power and desperation to seek the truth, and Flashbang as her lonely and ‘gothic’ side. (thumbs up to anyone who gets the allusions to BoIs’ playable characters!)
Lumina facing the Seven Deadly and Super Sins symbolizes her uncertainy that she can bring peace and absolve Draconia’s tribes for their misdeeds.
The Seven Sins take on the forms of various characters throughout the comic, Greed- Riah/Kighan, Sloth- Red/Aika, Envy- Sombrana/Scyde, Wrath- Kess/Xhanil/Elektra, Gluttony- Zurina/Inyx, Lust- Jiva/Rula/Naisha, Pride- Princess Kiriad/Briella/Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsel, and Oscura’s first phase involves using every sin’s moves before transforming into the “Mom” phase.
The Harbingers represent Draconia’s impending doom which Lumina strives to prevent from happening.
The monsters Lumina and “co.” fight symbolize her fears, nightmares, and images of both the tiger and dragon tribes warped from the cleansing process.
The Womb and Utero levels are replaced with the Forest and Lush Eden levels but still follow the same AI (if this was a game or fangame) and rules, but the enemies are replaced with realistic creatures than the womb and Utero enemies (same AI and programming) from BoI. (and the music Atempause is remixed to music you would hear while walking through an enchanted forest.)
Lumina eventually meets with Gaia’s daughter locked in a cell and realizes that the lost, mistreated girl is the little sister she wished for due to the memory incident, but the scared and scarred child attacks Lumina (like Issac (boss)) out of fear due to not knowing anything but the princess comforts her using her kind heart and a song. In a touching moment, they both cry in each others’ shoulders, not only because they found each other after 6 years but because they wished everything would go back to normal. Near the end of the fanfic, legit chapter, or bonus comic, they escape out of the castle and into unknown lands. They fall asleep after traveling far in the woods when night falls, but they both dream together.
They first dream of the Khalira, but as a Sheol-like place which is fitting considering the number of skeletons.
The boss of the Khalira is Shaleigh, who starts off the battle by summoning a “Fallen” tiger then a “Fallen” dragon. After they are beaten, Shaleigh transforms into Satan (actually from BoI) and attacks the duo, this heavily hints that Oscura, Kiriad, and possibly many others had bargained with Shaleigh and unkowingly wound up “selling their souls to the Devil” not knowing that she wants to rule all of Draconia! The Fallen Dragon and Fallen Tiger enemies represent the ghosts of dead tigers and dragons killed in battle that had dealed with Shaleigh and are forced to “serve her” for eternity.
Then they dream of the castle, but as a Cathedral which means the young dragons want to be together in heaven just in case they get killed during the war.
The Angel room is replaced with Loessa’s Room but still follows the same AI and rules, except Loessa is found caressing an “unknown” angel in her arms.
The Issac battle is replaced, instead, the duo fights the “Daddy” Long Legs. At the end of the battle, the “Daddy” Long Legs coughs up a half of an orb then leaves, revealing a cell-door. This means that the “Daddy” Long Legs wanted to test Lumina and her Sister’s power.
The final dream involves the two exploring the cell that held Lumina’s half-sister, battling nightmare creatures, sins, and eventually, Lumina’s rising dark side.
After a chaotic battle, a glowing chest appears in place where Lumina’s evil was along with the other half of the mysterious orb, they put it together and it floats toward the chest and unlocks it, revealing a swath of light that envelops the two.
I’ll tell the last part as a story next comment due to my IPad misbehaving.

(cont.)
As soon as the light cleared up, they found themselves in a grassy field covered with flowers wondering where they are. Not long after they thought that, the twins found the chest under a bonsai tree, alongside an Earth dragon; but this Earth dragon didn’t have the familiar bat wings, instead having dove-wings and a ring of light cicling her horns. The girls realized it was an angel. Lumina tried to ask her where they are but instead, the angel hushed them and handed Lumina a picture diary, then said, “Here, this will explain everything.”
The first page was of Lumina and Kilani, looking happy together without a care in the world. Lumina shook, trying to wipe away the tears that had fallen from her face non-stop throughout this nightmare. What she wouldn’t give to return to those days.
The next page was of her mom and dad, on a pleasant outing. Her father, a great elder dragon, and his mother, just as lovely as ever. She seemed a bit fuller-figured, even by typical mom standards. Lumina and her sister looked closer at the diary, it said “Just found out we’re expecting! Six months ’til our egg comes, I can’t wait!”
Lumina couldn’t help but chuckle as the diary followed her train of memory. The next page was of Chiara and her, in a golden necklace, with a sparkling pink dress and a crown to match. “I’m so proud of pip…She’s the cutest thing ever!”
She stared forever at the last few words scrawled on the back of her pageant page. “I love you, Pip!” She could almost hear her now, feel her wet kisses and extra-warm hugs as she would smile down at her. She was far from popular at school – hated, even, by the local bullies – but Mom was always there for her. Despite what happened next, she still sharply remembered that day… She had tried to tune out their argument with her pictures, but had no choice but to listen when Oscura stormed over her, stepping on the picture she spent so long coloring. Harsh accusations and angry words were everywhere, something about three-dollar bills, Chiaras’ not her mother, rainbow babies and not fitting for a princess. She even smashed the crown Lumina had worked so hard to win at the pageant…
She had chased her, imprisoned her lost sister in a basement, tried to erase her memory…and yet, she still loved her.
Granted, life was rough…even ignoring the Volcano thing. She didn’t have friends, and she wasn’t particularly good at much besides coloring and telling stories. But was that really enough to drill this look of sadness onto her face?
Lumina nearly choked on the lump in her throat when the next pages turned. It showed her father yelling at her mother, gloomily staring, then watching him fly away, out of her life forever.
He called Oscura a tyrant; a sinner. Then he flew away, and she never saw him again.
The note on the page was a bit longer. “Dear Lumina, I think you’re perfect the way you are. Don’t let your father upset you – Mommy’s always here. XOXO
If only that were true.
Lumina nearly dropped the book in fright when the next page turned. It was Oscura, with murder in her eyes and a figure’s throat in her hands. Quickly pushing the image away, she closed the book abruptly.
They wanted to stop looking, but felt the cold, but comforting hands of the angel on their shoulders. The angel nudged the diary. There were more pages. The story was not yet over.
The next page drove a cold chill up their spines, the page was of a figure that looked like the angel…but was in chains while a fight was occurring in the picture.
Lumina showed the picture to the angel. “What is this?” she asked.
The angel made a flipping motion with her hand, as if signifying that her response was on the back.
“What did I do wrong? What do I do? Where can I hide? Dear Goddess, I’m not ready to die!”
When they looked up, the angel was gone, and there was one page left. It was a picture of the angel, curled up in a ball, crying and alone in a place that looked like the
Cathedral. There was only a single tear-stained sentence on the back: “What have I done?”
With the pages read, they turned their attention to the chest. It was a fine piece of construction – wood panels, with heavy steel along the top and corners to keep it sturdy, all brushed a sparkling gold, with a cross on the top…
Lumina then realized the chest was the angel’s only home, because this was no chest… This, was a coffin.
In a panic, Lumina’s sister flung the top open. Inside, they found the angel, lying with her hands on her chest, just like a person in death.
And in that perfect moment, it all made sense. “…YOU’RE Gaia, aren’t you?”
“…Yes…”
The angel looked at them both, a sorry look in her dead, tearing-up eyes as she gave a solemn nod. No wonder her face carried that pale tint and her neck was red – it was the look of decapitation. This angel was Gaia, mother of Lumina’s half-sister, the Gaia that had died when her head was cut off, trying to escape her killer’s misplaced wrath.
Everything turned bright, and then they woke up the next day with tears in their eyes. Lumina, after much thought, made a decision, she knew what she had to do to stop all this…

And that is how it would make more sense than BoI.

Briella thinks she is so important than everybody else so whats gonna happen to gaia s daughter

What is the secret to surviving the into song sanity relatively intact? Event trying to pretend I was about to watch Happy Tree Friends couldn’t ease the mind pain.

Part of what makes MLP so enjoyable to me is that it’s innocent without being detached from the real world. So many of the biggest hit American cartoons have made their name by trying to shock their audience, by way of crude humor, taking shots at celebrities, politicians, religious and ethnic groups, and many more. MLP is refreshing in that it’s still funny, relevant, relateable even to adults, and fun, without having to rely on shock value. The show should, by all rights, have been nothing more than a 30-minute commercial for their namesake toys, and yet, the creative staff took it well beyond what it needed to be. One of the most common comments I hear about the show is that it’s far better than it needs or deserves to be. Despite its brightly-colored exterior, the show is anything but sappy, and the audience’s initially low expectations were easily blown away when we saw how endearing the characters and their world is.

I like dick and fart jokes just as much as anyone, but if you come into MLP expecting something similar to “South Park,” “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” or any of the other Seth MacFarlane properties, you’ll probably be disappointed. But the show proves that it can still be fun and funny without having to depend on that.

I have watched some of those shows but more as a time killer than actually caring what was on, it could just have easily been “Win Ben Steins Money” which was my only pass-time back when I spent a week in an emergency care clinic after being a passenger in an automobile incident.
I just get irritable when valley-girl knockoffs and excessive cuteness are involved. Happy Tree Friends actually makes cuteness enjoyable for me xD
I keep thinking “maybe today I’ll give MLP a try.” but I’m usually too sober.
And thusly tonite I shall watch some episodes! (If not for the red squigglies fixing my words I doubt this would be coheranvt.

I’ve survived halfway into season 2. The writing is actually far better than I’d expected. Though the voices still annoy me somewhat. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan, but it is a fine show and I see no reason it should be a problem for others to like it. Personally, I will watch anything. Even if I don’t like it… especially if I don’t like it. I enjoy driving myself crazy, within reason. *creepy smile*

If the opening song turns you away, I’d just skip it….

If it’s the concept of MLP becoming a entertaining/good show is hard to surmount, keep in mind that this MLP comes from the same person who brought us the Power Puff Girls (Lauren Faust), an expert of cartoon parody.

Then if you’re interested in watching (but still skeptical), I would suggest a later world-building episode (not focused on the main cast, focused on the lore) such as ‘Hearths-Warming Eve’.

This way, if you don’t like it, you just watched something self-contained that didn’t even require you to know who’s who (that episode has the main cast acting out a play, who cast is, is irrelevant to the episode)

And if you did like it, you didn’t spoil yourself. Yet you got a feel the show’s stylings, as the season starters/enders are of fairly a different styling from the rest of the show.

If you’re worrying about sanity, don’t. NO ONE CAN BE SANE. Sanity is being of sound mind; not mad or mentally ill. Humans just don’t match that description, at least not with enough consistency to claim more than temporary sanity. Being the fool isn’t of sound mind, but it is sung that, ‘everybody plays the fool, there’s no exception to the rule’!

Accept that you are crazy. Society will deem even a schizophrenic sane, I would know!

Briella thinks she is so important than everybody else so whats gonna happen to gaia s daughter

I’m really hoping she rips Red’s lungs out.

I’m really hoping she rips Red’s lungs out.

I’m really hoping she rips Red’s lungs out.

You know the more i see Lady Red act similar to this and most importantly the way she acts in the 5ft and 6th pannels the more it feels like she may be so into her work that she flat out deprives herself of ANY emotion or tries to and fails at times and using the 5ft and 6th pannels as an example her emotions sometimes “let themselves” out

As if one thinks about the scene happening in this page it seems as though Lady Red accidently told Briella about the calera more because of an overreaction to being told her hunch was correct if she does deprive herself of emotion (and with that probably alot of forms of entertainment) she probably takes most of her enjoyment from little pleasures like above

Although all this can be explained with a much shorter and easier question “Is Lady Red a workaholic?” and not the kind who enjoys their work

Good observation! I’m looking to portray Lady Red as someone who’s obsessed with her work and her standing with her superiors, and she forgets that others might not share that same passion, as evidenced here. “My hunch was right! Isn’t that great?” And then cue the crazy.

Okay, I take back my previous comment, I guess the next thing I would do to Lady Red if I didn’t want to wreck her chest (via tearing her lungs out) would be to wreck her wings, would be the next most horrible thing I could really think without mutilating her face or front of her body, plus I think that some Dragons pride themselves on the ability to fly, so making her incapable of doing so would be a real…well it would be a real strike to the soul from my point of view.
