Howdy, fellow Draconiacs!  RazorFox here.

Kess put forward her argument last week, so now it’s time for Ennek‘s rebuttal.  Sounds like it didn’t go over too well with Kess.  Where do we go from here?  Stay tuned…

Those of you looking for a soundtrack for this page can pull up “If I Were You” by Hoobastank.

And I don’t really have anything to add this week.  This week was the “spring forward” weekend here in the United States, marking the beginning of daylight-saving time.  It’s where we, as a country, celebrate how much we love sleep by willingly sacrificing an hour of it, so I’m up, but my bed is calling me back.  It would be rude not to answer.

See you all here next week!  Take care, my fellow Draconiacs, and thanks for reading!

=RazorFox.

Ennek, you have made your way onto the list of people who actually think sensibly in that group. I wonder…..what would Kess do if a dragon happened to help her in some way. Will she be completely ungrateful and kill the poor creature, or will she rethink the whole thing. Because, as I see it, there are no bad guys in this war (unless you call a ruler who is willing to erase her own daughter’s happiest memories evil), just creatures, er, people trying to survive in a world where nobody is on your side. Even when you think you can trust somebody, I’m pretty sure that this group of tigers can prove otherwise.

Translation: So what if they killed your mother? ONE dragon did that, and ONE dragon was raised by your sister. If that isn’t proof enough that you guys can live in peace, then I suggest that you pack your bags and go back with Kiriad, because you’re making as much sense as her right now!

4 people that can end the war (potentially):

1. Kilani
2. Lumina/Chuki
3. Ennek
4. Eone? (Just a thought, maybe, maybe not…)

Kess has proven herself a tough nut to crack. Maybe Ennek’s planted a seed in Kess’ mind.

Looked like the conversation was going alright, then Kess went and snapped like a b**** on PMS pills. Well, maybe not THAT bad, but she’s acting like a pain in the ass, and I don’t care if it’s because of her past. Ennek and Kilani have the right idea(Shie too, who stopped killing).

Certainly sounds like Kess might be part of a waning majority–maybe even a shrinking minority, soon. Will she ever find redemption? We shall see… ~__^

I agree with Ennek

I also agree with Ennek, it WOULD be nice if everyone stopped fighting, but then we wouldn’t have a story. ^_^

oh, right earth dragons. forgot. though I’m not sure it technically counts. I’m sure it does but I’ll have to be honest. personal motivation feels more “authentic” to me. mostly because their philosophy sounds more like a guideline then conviction.

I do wonder one thing though, as I have a lot of thinking time from not sleeping, will you ever color the early pages of DC? If not is fine, I do kind of hope the earliest pages will be changed from GIFs though, I can’t change them myself without lowering the clarity/perfection(I had a simple word for this, similar to value, but I can’t think it) of the image.

It is incredible that neither Kess nor Ennnek didn’t realize yet that the egg Kilani raised was the same that Red and the other dragons had in their possession. And Kess redeeming herself? Oh please. The day when i see a vampire donating
blood or a male dragon laying an egg it will be the day that Kess will
redeem herself.

All we are saaaayiiing, is give peace a chaaaance.

noooooo, not the frowny angry tiger grin. It be saaaaad. Need more fanservice to turn that tiger frown upside down!

ohwait, that might just work on us readers.

Oh , sound like Ennnek is becoming a peacenik. Based on Kess look she not too happy about the thought though Ennek needs to use RockThrow. Know what Kilanni and Ennek and other peaceniks needs too unleash the eye of tiger, and defend there position on the war. I wonder if kilianni will end up making her own faction made up of tigers and dragons sort of like a tiger-dragon peace alliance?

Kess: “You goddamn hippies… *grumble* *grumble*”
Of course, Kess does have a point. If they don’t attack the dragons, they’ll have to have heavy protection if they don’t want to be sitting ducks. Even then, if the dragons DON’T stop attacking and the tigers DO, the dragons are just going to keep attacking them until they wither away their defenses. I think there are more dragons than tigers, correct? So the tigers will probably be defeated before the dragons are.
Interestingly, it seems world peace on a two-civilization country is essentially equivalent to the prisoner’s dilemma (basically how the money is distributed in Bachelor Pad).
I suppose they could try to leave– but they have a lot of resources there, including the keepers of the Y chromosome. Though technically, I suppose they could get away with just one and use him as the “king” bee to the dragons’ queen bee– that is how the draconian society works, right? The only one permitted to mate is the monarch, Queen Oscura? (Aside: Just remembered “oscura” is a Spanish adjective; some all-purpose definitions might be “opaque” or “shadowy.”

…Why do I sometimes talk so much on the internet? o.o

I was under the impression that the Tigers had a serious number advantage and that the use of magic as well as flight is what gave the Dragons the edge.

The Tigers do, actually. The Dragons, while fewer in number, are more powerful individually, and certainly seem to be more organized.

OK, maybe it’s not as doomed as I thought, then.
Still very risky, but not 100% doomed to failure. Though I suppose we should take into account the risk of battle. …Anyway, it will be hard to stop the inertia of this battle. How do you talk soldiers thirsting for blood out of fighting altogether?
Not to mention their bigoted conceptions they have of the other species…

No, I don’t think this plan would be a good strategy to enact now…

Kess mentality would fit rather well in the WH40K context. I’m guessing that she has those lines in her head all the time:
My armor is contempt
My shield is disgust
My sword is hatred
In the Tigers’ name
Let none survive
(I’m in my Imperial mood right now)

We need some good intervention here, shit is defnietly gonna hit the fan for both sides, the way things are going. Doesn’t have to be “divine intervention” (heck i don’t even know if there are any higher beings in that universe), but some strong understanding of moral and reason from a joined tiger-dragon attempt is needed.
The Armor of Righteousness
The Helm of Salvation
The Belt of Truth
The Shield of Faith
The Sword of The Spirit
Shod with The Gospel of Peace
Someone needs to take up those arms, challenge Kess to a duel and snap her out of it, before she ruins both herself and everyone around her. -_^

So Ennek’s sister is Scyde?

i don’t think kess is gonna be swayed by words on this matter, or at all. she seems too steeped in rage, it’s blinding her, like most church figures in the past were blinded by their pride of lack of sin, to see the clear answer right in front of her. sad to say it, but kess seems like a lost cause.

AAaaaaaand with that my respect for Kess just plumeted, and my respect for Ennek just soared to new hights.

Mine too, all Kess ever thinks about is killing every dragon on the planet, even if some are against the war. Sooner or later if this keeps up, she might even any of her own kind if they get in her way of twisted vengeance. I HOPE that never happens. (€ -m-);

Ugh, as a believing christian myself, don’t i know it.
We’re STILL friggin trying to clean up after the medieval roman-catholics.
Faith? heck no, they weren’t even religious. Just plain, ugly, hypocritical corrupted politicians, they wre!

Culturally and developmentally the Tigers seem to be stalled in the Neolithic era. Crafting more efficient weapons and more logical battle tactics would enable them to exploit their superior numbers more effectively against the Dragons with their innate abilities to control the elements. Achieving a parity in combat/warfare would allow peace negotiations to begin, but not before.

I dont think so, they dont look alike at all, and for what she (Ennek) said (and what I`ve seen) Scyde doesnt have cubs so that will erase her as an option. If I have to guess, It will be for Tshila, she fit more on the description: got some cubs, work for the princess and she look more like Ennek than Scyde, but all this is mere guess and can be someone we dont know at all.

Bad to ask Kess what she thinks. If she’s thinking anything at all, it’s usually bad.

That sums it up. Not only voices of compassion, but any voice of reason, is gonna be shot down and excommunicated at BEST, this war isn’t just a war for them, it’s a STATE OF BEING. The idea of the war ending in any other way other than the complete extermination of the other side isn’t even part of their brain function. But realistically, while both sides try their hardest to kill each other when they run across them, they don’t seem to have any organized designs at destroying each other other than one queen trying her own child into a super-weapon.

This isn’t a fight between nations, or ideals, or blood feud between families. It’s not like any war humanity had fought with itself. This is the jungle law ‘kill or be killed!’

Even the ones saying ‘why not just NOT kill each other?’ are pretty much considered crazy. Because other side is NOT composed of people from their perspective. From their POV, they’re trying to humanize rabid wolves.

But, but… If there’s no truce…there’s no Sandy Claws…

But, but… If there’s no truce…there’s no Sandy Claws…

well razorfox you got your work cut out for ya. becouse now we have yet to see one dragon that is sympathetic to peace and we have 2 tigers that do.

Oh, you’ve met her, actually. In fact, it’s not so much a “her” as it is a “them.” ~__^

Well now, it’s about time at least one of them considered a truce! Alas, it is but wistful thinking…

The closest thing I can compare this conflict to, is the war between Germany and Russia, or America and Japan during the seconed world war. Both sides trying to kill as many of the other as possible, with each one seeing the other as subhuman scum to be annihilated. A no holds barred fight, where there can be no peace, only victory.

Why exactly are the earth dragons left out of combat? Wouldn’t they’re ability to control the earth make them able to cause massive earthquakes in the specific areas where the tiger’s armies are? Or pick up entire mountains and then drop them on whole tiger cities? It just seems odd that the queen would be so prejudice against them, and not consider them a valuble resource to the war effort.

Thats is because (for what i`ve seen) earth dragons got a philosophy of no violence, attack just if selfdefense.

In real term, yes, earth dragons got a great potential for fight and make damage, but they refuse to use it, so they, in terms with the war, are maybe in some degree agains it. They look like they enjoy create building more than the idea of fight, Eone even say that there just a little minority of earth dragons that actually wanted to fight.

So, is not that earth dragons doesnt have ability, they just dont want to use it for war an conflict, this, under the queen perspective (AND other dragons) they can be percived as a wasterd potential power.
