The council is apparently very open to bribes and special treatment in exchange for a more favorable perspective on something as seemingly important as these endowment renewals, and is not afraid to say so openly! The implications of that – as well as the idea of Shaleigh having found ‘new content’ to entice them – bodes well for her impending judgement. It also makes me wonder if “presenter gifts for the conclave audience” are actually standard procedure, and poor Zmia either skipped hers or didn’t offer something convincing enough to keep their attention from cutting her off early.
When Coneen first informed Shaleigh that she’d be presenting the next morning, Coneen did mention something about snacks being part of the protocol. So you bring up a good question about Zmia. Was it her data that dashed her chances, or her snacks? Hmmm…
Homestyle? Buttermilk? Creamy Jalapeno?! They could dock you points for the variety Shaleigh!
Judging by Chancellor Kurdon’s reaction to it and Shaleigh’s mention of it being an import, any ranch would be just as much of a delicacy. Maybe Thousand Island next?
I have to say the fact that ranch could sway the council is… concerning. I hope the presentation won’t leave a bitter taste in their mouths but rather leave a sweet and savory sensation that will serve to whet the prime palettes of the presiding presidents.
Here’s to hoping Shaleigh presentation is well seasoned.
