Howdy, fellow Draconiacs!  RazorFox here.

Has Shie given up?  Stay tuned…

And speaking of tuning, I’m proud to announce that after eight years on KatboxThe Draconia Chronicles is relocating to a new web site!  You may have heard that Katbox is closing up shop after a decade and a half and I’m hugely grateful to have been a part of it.  Alas, however, all good things come to an end, but it looks a great new thing awaits as The Draconia Chronicles has new digs at Studio Khimera!  Point your browser to https://thedraconiachronicles.studiokhimera.com and make sure to update your bookmarks!  I’ll see you there!

By the way, you can see an uncensored version of this page when you support The Draconia Chronicles on Patreon!  And you can also get Draconia Chronicles update announcements on FacebookTwitter (new account!), DeviantArt, FurAffinity, and Instagram.  Follow any one of those and you’ll always know when an update goes live!

Take care, my fellow Draconiacs, and thanks for your continued support!

It’s been a while since i commented on one of these comics… I’ve been busy dealing with a lot of crap in my personal life now for a number of months now, but the recent story developments drove me to want to say something… I know it happened several updates ago, but I can’t help but continue to be drawn into the subplot with Cinder and Kilani.

What resonated with me is that it goes beyond the obvious fan-service of showing two females kissing. The two women both come across as feeling suitably alone and alienated from their respective societies, hence their shared positive in merely hugging. As for Kilani, I don’t think it’s just a matter of her wanting to find out “what it’s like with a dragon”, but something more basic and ‘human’- that she wants to feel something after everything she’s been through, she wants some feeling of comfort and connection with another individual.

And for her part, Cinder just strikes me as a far more genuinely empathetic individual, in spite of both her species and being a fire dragon, so her reaction to being kissed isn’t really all that surprising, especially since she’s been through so much with this woman and in the process has formed a bond with her. It honestly makes me wonder how many other Dragons (of any type) have the same potential to buck the system and reject the status quo… Is she an outlier, or are other Dragons tired of the conflict?
